We are pleased to announce our plans to establish two scholarship funds for deserving young people with a desire to develop their God-given talent.
“The Lindsey Brook Baker Memorial Scholarship Fund”
Lindsey touched so many hearts. In her memory, children and young people will continue to touch hearts by sharing the love of Christ through the gift of music.
“The Sharon Lago Allred Memorial Scholarship Fund”
Sharon lived out her faith everyday. In her memory, this fund will support music scholarships and adult programs.
Lauren is a Georgia native and lives in the Atlanta area with her husband, Levi. They have recently announced the arrival of their first child, due January 2008 (We have heard that the Grandparents are very excited). Lauren accepted Christ at age nine and she and Levi are active in their local church.
Lauren is a graduate of Clayton State University, Magna Cum Laude, with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication & Media Studies. She is currently employed at the University as a Communications Specialist and has extensive experience in writing, design, graphics, layout, and editing.
Her talents will be used to effectively lead the communication of our mission, goals, and objectives.
Jeff is a native of Detroit, Michigan and made a profession of faith in Christ at age 13. He moved to the Atlanta area in 1989 to advance his career with Delta Air Lines. At Delta, Jeff has taken on leadership roles in Aircraft Routing, Operations Planning, and Maintenance Planning. Jeff has since left Delta to take on a strategic planning position with an international company.
He is the proud father of two sons, one of which is serving our country in the US Army. Jeff has demonstrated the true principle found in Ephesians 5:25 of loving his wife as Christ loved the Church. Sharon lost her battle with breast cancer just over a year ago and has gained eternal life that we all can claim through the blessed assurance of knowing Christ.
Jeff brings outstanding planning skills, a faith that has produced endurance, and a humble spirit.
David was born in Clarksville, Tennessee and moved to Las Vegas, Nevada where he completed his studies in Management Information Systems. His wife Elizabeth and three children (two of which are adopted), moved to the Atlanta area approximately six years ago. They have recently added an additional family member through the adoption of a child from China.
David accepted Christ at age 24 and is an example of how God's love and grace can make a dramatic change in our lives. He demonstrates a Christ-like example to his family, church, and community.
David has used his knowledge in information systems and leadership skills to manage database and geographic information systems at government and non-profit agencies. He is currently GIS Manager with the Atlanta International Airport.
We welcome David's gift of compassion, information management experience, and leadership skills to our organization.
We are honored to have Jimmy Patterson serve on the Board of Directors. Jimmy is a native of Brownwood, Texas where at age ten received Christ as his Lord and Savior. After accepting God's call into ministry he completed his undergraduate studies at Howard Payne University and then earned a Master of Arts in Religious Education at Southwestern Theological Seminary.
Jimmy brings a wealth of ministry experience having served as minister of youth, education, students, and as pastor. In October 2006, Jimmy accepted the call to serve as Senior Pastor at First Baptist Church, Newnan and with his wife Amy, two sons Stape and Nathan reside in the Newnan area. We are so thankful they are here!
Through Jimmy's passion for ministry, spiritual leadership, and humble spirit, we will be a more effective ministry as we bring Christian musicians together for praise, worship, and ministry. Learn more about First Baptist Newnan at: www.fbcnewnan.org

The Greater Atlanta Christian Community Orchestra & Choir has received its Certificate of Incorporation as a Nonprofit Corporation from the Secretary of State of Georgia. Additionally, with the assistance of Jordan Kinsey & Jordan CPAs, LLC, we have received 501c3 approval from the IRS. This will allow the donations that we receive to be tax deductible for the contributor.
